Two Dead and Two Missing After Vehicle Plunges into Nallah on Mughal Road

POONCH, May 05 — A tragic accident on the Mughal Road has left two people dead and two others missing after their vehicle veered off the mountainous pass.

District Police Poonch launched an extensive search and rescue operation yesterday following reports that four individuals traveling along the route had gone missing.

The search culminated today when rescue teams located the wreckage of the vehicle in a deep nallah near the Chhattapani area.

Upon reaching the site and retrieving the vehicle, emergency responders recovered two bodies from the scene. The identities of the deceased are being verified as authorities continue their efforts at the crash site.

Despite the challenging terrain and conditions near the nallah, the police and rescue teams have intensified their search to locate the remaining two passengers who were on board the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The district police stated that the large-scale operation remains active and all available resources are being utilized to trace the missing individuals at the earliest.

Local authorities have cautioned travelers on the Mughal Road to remain vigilant due to the difficult driving conditions often encountered in the area.
