Revenue Department Reclaims Three Kanals of State Land During Anti Encroachment Drive in Bemina
BUDGAM, April 16, 2026:-The Revenue Department of Budgam, in collaboration with the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, successfully conducted a significant anti-encroachment operation at Estate Bemina today.
Under the supervision of Tehsildar Budgam, Imtiyaz Ahmad, the joint team targeted unauthorized occupation on Kacharie land to restore public property to the government.
During the exercise, approximately three kanals of land were retrieved through the coordinated efforts of field staff and the use of heavy machinery.
The operation was carried out smoothly, ensuring the illegal structures and barriers were removed and the site was returned to its original status.
Following the successful retrieval, officials reaffirmed the district administration’s firm stance against the illegal occupation of public and community land.
They emphasized that such enforcement drives will be intensified across the district to deter future encroachments and ensure land resources are used for their intended public purposes.
The administration has also issued a public appeal, urging citizens to refrain from illegal land grabbing and to cooperate with authorities in safeguarding government-owned property.
Strict legal action is expected to continue against those found violating land use regulations in the region.
