Ramban January 01, 2026:- Marking the start of the New Year with a focus on health and operational readiness, the 84 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) inaugurated the “Chenab Open Air Gym” at its Tactical Headquarters in Boom Ramban.

The facility was formally opened by N. Gayabati Devi, First Lady of the 84 Bn, in a ceremony attended by Commandant N. Ranbir Singh, along with senior officers, personnel, and their families. This new fitness hub is designed to enhance the physical and mental well-being of the force, providing a dedicated space for exercise amidst the challenging terrain of the region.

The open-air facility features 12 specialized pieces of equipment specifically selected to offer a comprehensive workout, targeting core strength, cardiovascular health, and flexibility.

During the inauguration, Commandant N. Ranbir Singh underscored that peak physical fitness is an absolute necessity for a combat force like the CRPF. He noted that integrating gym activities into the daily routine is a vital way to foster a disciplined fitness culture.

This latest addition complements the existing sports infrastructure at the Boom Ramban headquarters, which already includes two badminton courts, a volleyball court, a lawn tennis court, and a modern indoor gymnasium.
