National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah Questions Women’s Reservation Bill and Delimitation Fairness
SRINAGAR, APRIL 17: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah today raised serious concerns regarding the federal government’s approach to the Women’s Reservation Bill and the regional delimitation process.
Addressing reporters, Abdullah argued that the initial withdrawal of the bill was a strategic move by the administration due to a lack of confidence in achieving a two-thirds majority.
He remarked that the public remains largely unhappy with the current version of the bill and expressed uncertainty over the government’s next steps.
Furthermore, he criticized the recent delimitation exercise in Jammu and Kashmir, describing the process as wrongfully executed and deeply flawed.
