Indian Army receives INS Vikrant model to honor 1971 war heritage

KOLKATA, June 18 :- The Eastern Army Commander VMB Krishnan received a model of the legendary aircraft carrier INS Vikrant from Sanjay Bhalla, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command.

The ceremonial handover took place at the Tri-Service Chowk in Vijay Durg, Kolkata, symbolizing the deep jointmanship and shared military heritage of the armed forces.

This gesture commemorates the enduring bond and synergy between the Indian Army and the Indian Navy. The presentation honors the rich legacy of courage, sacrifice, and victory established during the 1971 War.
