Jammu Police Orders Fresh Transfer and Posting of Station House Officers

JAMMU June 18,2026 : Jammu Police have executed a comprehensive reshuffle of Station House Officers across various police stations in the district to strengthen administrative efficiency.

According to the official transfer orders issued by Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, several inspectors have been assigned new responsibilities to improve regional law enforcement. Under the new directives, Inspector Ashwani Sharma has taken charge as the new Station House Officer of Bus Stand Jammu, while Inspector Sunil Sharma has been designated to lead the Jhajjar Kotli police station.

The administrative restructuring continued with Inspector Sanjeevan Jyoti being appointed to head the Women Cell, and Inspector Vikram Singh taking over the responsibilities as the Station House Officer for R.S. Pura.

Additionally, Inspector Sandeep Katoch has been posted to oversee operations at the Channi police station, and Inspector Balwinder Singh has been officially assigned as the Station House Officer for Khour.

Senior officials stated that this fresh departmental shake-up is part of a routine administrative exercise designed to optimize ground-level policing, enhance security, and ensure smoother law enforcement operations throughout Jammu district.
