Delhi Police Crime Branch Arrests Wanted Sharp Shooter After Fierce Encounter
NEW DELHI, June 9, 2026 — The Anti-Robbery and Dacoity Cell of the Delhi Police Crime Branch successfully apprehended a wanted sharp shooter following a brief encounter.
The arrested individual was actively sought by law enforcement in connection with a high-profile double murder case previously registered at the Farsh Bazar police station in Delhi.The arrest unfolded during a coordinated tactical operation when the accused attempted to evade law enforcement officers by opening fire directly at the tracking police team.
Acting swiftly to safeguard lives, the team returned fire to neutralize the immediate threat, successfully cornering and arresting the criminal without any casualties.Following the encounter, security personnel searched the suspect and recovered a high-end semi-automatic pistol along with four live cartridges.
Senior officials stated that the successful apprehension of this targeted shooter deals a major blow to the operations of the organized criminal gang with which he was associated.The high-stakes operation was executed by a team led by Inspectors Man Singh and Sunder Gautam.
The field raid was conducted under the direct guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanjay Nagpal and the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.
