Jammu, 17th August :- Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Police Station Gandhi Nagar achieved one more success by recovering approximately 09 grams of heroin (Chitta) like substance from drug peddler near valmiki colony Jammu under the jurisdiction of PS Gandhi Nagar.On 16.08.2025 a police team of Police Station Gandhi Nagar, led by PSI Nadeem Akram assisted by police officials, under the close supervision of SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Inspector Jai Paul Sharma while on routine patrolling duty, apprehended the accused person.
The arrested drug peddler have been identified as Rohan Chidhe S/o Raj kumar R/o Valmiki Colony, Jammu.In this connection, case has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar FIR No. 182/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act dated 16.08.2025The accused person have been arrested,contraband seized and investigation is underway.
The entire operation was carried out by SHO PS Gandhi Nagar, under the supervision of SDPO South, and overall supervision of SP South,Jammu.Jammu Police is committed to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society and seeks the cooperation of the public to share any information regarding drug peddling activities in their areas.
