Indian Army Organized Medical Camp in far flung Village of JK’s Udhampur

Basantgarh /Udhampur 11 October :- Under the aegis of Op Sadbhavana of Indian Army, a free Medical and Health Checkup Camp was organised at Sia Meri, Basantgarh in District Udhampur on 11 Oct 2025 for the benefit of local populace.

The medical camp is part of the Indian Army’s continuous efforts under Op Sadbhavana to promote goodwill, ensure welfare and strengthen the bond between the Army and the local population. Post the region suffering immense damage and roads being cut off due to severe monsoon, the camp provided much required succour to the locals.

A team of Army doctors alongwith civil doctors, nursing staff and paramedics provided free consultation services and distributed essential medicines to the civilians. Awareness lectures on hygiene, sanitation and nutrition were also conducted. More than 400 civilians including women, children and elderly benefitted from the camp.The event received overwhelming response from the local population and civil administration.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude towards Indian Army for this initiative. The effort further strengthened the bond of mutual trust, cooperation and brotherhood between the Army and Awam
