Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar Reviews Operational Readiness at Jaisalmer Military Station
JAISALMER, July 30 — Army Commander of Southern Command Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar visited Jaisalmer Military Station to review the operational preparedness, technology absorption, and capability enhancement initiatives of the Battle Axe Division.
During the visit, he received briefings on key operational aspects, innovative training methodologies, and infrastructure development across the formation. He also inspected the Centre of Excellence alongside the Drone and Robotics Lab, encouraging personnel to continuously refine modern warfighting capabilities to address emerging battlefield challenges.
As part of the tour, the Army Commander paid homage to the heroes of the 1971 Indo-Pak War at Longewala Yudh Sthal, honoring their bravery and contribution to safeguarding the territorial integrity of the nation.
Commending the division for its professionalism and technological innovation, he interacted with the troops and presented On-the-Spot Commendations to select personnel for exemplary service while urging all ranks to integrate emerging technologies into modern defense operations.
