Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula Assumes Command of Indian Navy Western Fleet
MUMBAI, July 30 — Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula assumed command of the Western Fleet from Vice Admiral Vivek Dahiya on July 29, 2026.An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, the United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College in Virginia, and the Naval War College in Goa, Srinivas Maddula has held key operational and administrative appointments both ashore and afloat.
His prior command tenures include INFACT80, Indian Naval Ships Nipat, Ganga, Godavari, and Trikand, as well as the base depot ship INS Kadamba.Upon his elevation to Flag rank, he served as Flag Officer Sea Training in Southern Naval Command at Kochi and as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff for Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence at Naval Headquarters in New Delhi.
