CISF conducts Vetiver Grass plantation drive for soil conservation at Rajkot International Airport
RAJKOT, June 13, 2026—Central Industrial Security Force personnel stationed at Rajkot International Airport organized a Vetiver Grass plantation drive along the banks of the Beti River.
During the environmental initiative, Amandeep Sirswa, the Deputy Commandant and Chief Airport Security Officer, briefed the participating personnel on the strategic importance of Vetiver Grass.
He highlighted its effectiveness as a natural bio-engineering solution for slope stabilization and soil erosion control, emphasizing that proper care and long-term maintenance are essential to achieving a sustainable ecological impact.
The plantation drive highlights the security agency’s dedication to environmental conservation and the preservation of ecological balance.
