Umer Jaan Meets Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to Present Pulwama Development Demands

SRINAGAR, June 6, 2026 — Congress Pulwama District President Umer Jaan called on Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to submit a comprehensive memorandum seeking urgent government intervention for various developmental and public welfare issues in Pulwama district.
Representing the local residents, the Congress leader raised 13 pressing demands aimed at upgrading healthcare, infrastructure, public safety, and basic amenities across the region.The detailed memorandum placed a strong emphasis on boosting emergency response and medical infrastructure, specifically requesting the sanctioning of a fire and emergency service vehicle for the Pinglena unit, the upgradation of the local non-transferable primary health center, and the establishment of a dedicated maternity hospital at Sirnoo.
Infrastructure and connectivity also featured prominently, with demands for the upgradation and macadamization of key regional transit routes, including the Pulwama Ring Road and several internal village roads, alongside the swift completion of the long-pending Dattpora-Reshipora bridge project.
Additionally, the proposal urged the administration to transfer the old court complex to the district administration for public utility, install an ATM at Qasbayar Rajpora, and strengthen water and irrigation facilities by upgrading drought pumps across multiple agrarian villages.
Umer Jaan emphasized that addressing these infrastructure gaps is vital for local economic health and public safety, requesting the Lieutenant Governor to prioritize these public concerns and issue immediate directions to expedite their implementation.
