Assam Rifles signs pact with NCDFI to boost dairy farming and supply

NEW DELHI, June 2, 2026 — Assam Rifles signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited in New Delhi to strengthen dairy cooperatives and support rural economies.

The agreement was finalized in the presence of the Director General of Assam Rifles, Vikas Lakhera, alongside senior dignitaries from the force and the Chairman of the dairy federation, Meenesh Shah.The strategic partnership is designed to ensure the reliable availability of high-quality dairy products to various Assam Rifles establishments.

Simultaneously, the collaboration aims to create enhanced market opportunities for local dairy farmers, with a particular focus on boosting the cooperative network across the Northeastern Region.This joint initiative reflects a continued commitment toward socio-economic development and rural empowerment in the region.

By linking defense establishment supply needs directly with local producers, the agreement aligns with the broader national vision of empowering farmers and fostering sustainable agricultural growth through cooperative networks.
