Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Reviews Preparations for Mega Nasha Mukt Pad Yatra in Srinagar
SRINAGAR, APRIL 25: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, chaired a high-level meeting today to finalize arrangements for the upcoming Mega Nasha Mukt Pad Yatra scheduled for May 3 in Srinagar.
The event, which will be officially flagged off by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, serves as a major initiative to combat the drug menace through public awareness and community action.
During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner stressed the necessity of broad-based participation, urging the involvement of NGOs, social organizations, students, professionals, and government departments to present a unified front against substance abuse in the region.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the rally, specific directives were issued to various departments for logistics and participant comfort. The SRTC and Transport Department have been tasked with coordinating transportation, while the Public Health Engineering Department will manage drinking water facilities along the route.
Additionally, the Hospitality and Protocol Department will oversee refreshments for the attendees. Deputy Commissioners and Heads of Departments were instructed to appoint nodal officers to streamline coordination, ensuring that this large-scale movement effectively reaches all sections of society and fosters a collective commitment to a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
