DGCA Issues Warning Against Fraudulent Agents Promising Pilot Exam Success

NEW DELHI, April 5, 2026 — The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a formal public notice cautioning aspiring pilots against misleading claims made by unauthorized elements regarding the licensing process.

The regulatory body stated that it has become aware of certain individuals and “intermediaries” who are falsely promising candidates guaranteed issuance of Computer Numbers, passing marks in Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) theory papers, and success in RTR (Radio Telephony Restricted) practical examinations.

The DGCA emphasized that the entire process—from the allotment of Computer Numbers to the conduct of examinations—is carried out in a strictly transparent and fair manner, leaving no room for outside influence or manipulation. Candidates are strongly advised to refrain from engaging with such rumors or paying money to brokers.

To maintain the integrity of the aviation sector, the authority has invited candidates facing any challenges or solicitation to report these incidents to dgoffice.dgca@nic.in.

The DGCA further warned that strict legal action will be taken against any agents, brokers, or intermediaries found exploiting candidates or undermining the examination system.
