Reasi SSP Conducts Comprehensive Security Review of Vaishno Devi Track
REASI, June 21, 2026 :- Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi Mukund Tibrewal conducted a comprehensive on-foot security assessment of the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra track and the Bhawan area to ensure the highest safety standards for pilgrims.
Accompanied by a team of officers including SP Katra Kameshwar Puri, the SDPO Katra, SDPO Bhawan, SHO Katra, SHO Bhawan, and officials from the Central Reserve Police Force and the Police Security Wing, the police chief personally reviewed the entire security grid along the pilgrimage route.
During the visit, he closely inspected various entry points, the effectiveness of pilgrim screening and frisking procedures, and the operational readiness of baggage scanning systems while reviewing the alertness of security personnel at key locations.
The security chief also visited the Sanjichhat area to conduct a thorough security audit of the helipad and its surrounding perimeter to safeguard helicopter operations. Additionally, he inspected the accommodation facilities of security personnel deployed at the Bhawan and along the track, interacting directly with the jawans to review their living conditions and welfare arrangements.
He stressed the absolute need for deployed personnel to maintain the highest level of vigilance, particularly given the increased influx of pilgrims during the ongoing summer vacation season.The review concluded with instructions emphasizing regular and effective patrolling along the Yatra route during off-hours to deter any potential threats from anti-national elements.
Mukund Tibrewal highlighted the vital importance of constant alertness, seamless coordination among all security stakeholders, and regular audits to counter emerging challenges and maintain a completely secure environment for the millions of devotees visiting the holy shrine annually.
