NEW DELHI APRIL 30, 2026 :- Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh declared today that Operation Sindoor has permanently altered India’s national security paradigm, moving the nation beyond an era of “old mindsets” and mere diplomatic protests. Addressing the National Security Summit in New Delhi, he emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has transitioned from rhetoric to resolute action, proving that India will no longer tolerate terrorism under any circumstances. The operation, described as a showcase of tri-service military prowess, demonstrated that India is capable of executing and concluding high-stakes military maneuvers entirely on its own terms, signaling a bold “New World Order” where no distinction is made between terrorists and their state sponsors.
The Raksha Mantri highlighted the sophisticated operational and ideological layers of modern conflict, noting that terrorism stems from a distorted mindset often shielded by religious or political justifications. He drew a sharp contrast between the two neighbors, remarking that while India is globally celebrated for its leadership in Information Technology (IT), Pakistan has become synonymous with International Terrorism (IT). Rajnath Singh pointed out that Operation Sindoor was not just a military victory but a triumph of synergy, as the Army, Navy, and Air Force operated under a unified, integrated plan. He dismissed past threats of nuclear blackmail, stating that India accomplished its strategic objectives without falling for bluffs, backed by a robust military-industrial complex capable of meeting rapid surge demands during a crisis.
Beyond the battlefield, the operation has triggered a massive surge in India’s global standing and defense economy. In the 2025-26 fiscal year, India’s defense exports skyrocketed by over 62% to reach a record 38,424 crore, driven by a newfound international confidence in indigenous weaponry. Singh revealed that European firms are increasingly eager to collaborate with Indian defense units following the precision showcased during the 72-hour operation. This credibility is being further bolstered by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the armed forces—a move the Raksha Mantri termed “Augmented Infantry.” From the AI-enhanced Sudarshan Air Defence system to the precision of BrahMos missiles, technology is now at the epicenter of India’s deterrence posture.
While championing the “IndiaAI” Mission and the country’s role in shaping global AI standards, the Raksha Mantri also issued a cautionary note regarding the dark side of emerging tech, such as deepfakes and autonomous weapon systems. He stressed that while AI optimizes everything from logistics to battlefield surveillance, it must be governed by international cooperation to ensure it remains a tool for protection rather than destruction. As the nation moves toward a technology-driven integrated fighting machine, units like the Rudra Brigades and Divyastra Batteries are already being deployed to counter hybrid threats. The summit concluded with a clear message: through indigenous innovation and unwavering political will, India has established a formidable deterrence that ensures the nation’s security and prosperity in an evolving global landscape.
