Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha releases Shri Amarnathji Yatra Guide Book 2026
SRINAGAR, June 15: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha released the 15th edition of the Shri Amarnathji Yatra Guide Book at Lok Bhavan.
The Lieutenant Governor commended the Tourism Federation of Jammu for its continuous endeavors to enhance the pilgrimage tourism experience in the region. He also appreciated the collaborative efforts of the federation and all associated organizations in ensuring that the annual pilgrimage remains a safe, seamless, and spiritually fulfilling journey for the visiting devotees.
This year’s edition of the guide book serves as an essential informative manual for pilgrims by providing vital data regarding available facilities, safety protocols, yatra disciplines, and registration procedures. It also contains detailed information on medical facilities, accommodation options, and emergency contact details along both pilgrimage routes stretching from Lakhanpur to the Holy Cave.
Rajesh Gupta, Chairman of the Tourism Federation of Jammu and President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, informed that regular Aarti ceremonies have now been expanded to other sacred locations across the region, including Surinsar Nag Mandir, Baba Kailakh Dev Sthan, Purmandal, Ghagwal, Jatwal, and Raghunath Mandir.
The Tourism Federation has geared up comprehensively for the pilgrimage season in coordination with Jammu Smart City Limited, establishing regular Aarti services from June 29. On the first day of the event, a special morning poojan will be performed at the venue, and community kitchens will begin serving food at the Current Registration Counter in Jammu from the same date.
To further assist visitors, the federation plans to produce a video documentary showcasing the upgraded facilities along the entire route before the pilgrimage begins.
Printed by Shivang Satya Gupta of ESPA FEE Private Limited, the guide book will be distributed for free to all pilgrims. The release ceremony was attended by Additional Secretary Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak, Kiran Wattal, Amrik Singh, B.B. Kotwal, Abhay Bakaya, and Mohd. Maqbool Shoda.
