LG Manoj Sinha Inaugurates IMMUNOCON 2026 in Srinagar, Advocates for Immuno-AI Fusion and Climate Immunity
SRINAGAR, JUNE 10 — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha delivered a compelling keynote address at the inaugural session of the Annual Conference of the Indian Immunology Society, ‘IMMUNOCON-2026’, hosted by the Advanced Centre for Human Genetics at SKIMS.
Speaking on the theme, “Beneath the Grandeur of Chinar: Illuminating Mysteries from Fundamentals to Translational Frontiers in Health,” the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the evolving, critical role of immunology in driving biomedical innovation and transforming public healthcare infrastructure.
Hailing the human immune system as nature’s most precise living architecture, LG Sinha emphasized that continuous immunological research and innovation are absolute moral obligations required to effectively prepare for future global health threats.
He called upon the global scientific community to rapidly translate advanced scientific knowledge into actionable public health initiatives to combat infectious diseases, maximize vaccine effectiveness, and elevate precision medicine into a major healthcare revolution.
In his address to the assembled scientists, researchers, and policymakers, the Lieutenant Governor challenged stakeholders to collaborate intensively on three cutting-edge strategic frontiers to revolutionize patient care. First, he urged the development of ‘Immuno-AI Fusion’ systems that utilize Artificial Intelligence to map out distinct age-group immune profiles across states.
Second, he stressed the critical need to study ‘climate immunity’ to shield populations against emerging environmental health hazards and impending pandemic threats driven by a changing global climate.
Finally, LG Sinha pressed translational medicine experts to sharply minimize the time gap between laboratory discoveries and practical bedside treatment, ensuring that next-generation diagnostics, medical devices, and therapies are swiftly integrated into the public healthcare system.
Concluding his address, the Lieutenant Governor expressed profound gratitude to the global immunology community for their lifelong dedication to safeguarding human life, noting that hosting IMMUNOCON-2026 in Jammu and Kashmir perfectly honors the region’s historic legacy as an ancient hub of scientific discovery and profound knowledge.
