KPDCL announces scheduled power shutdowns in Srinagar Gurez and Awantipora
SRINAGAR, June 04, 2026:-The Chief Engineer of Distribution at the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several areas to facilitate essential maintenance and repair works.
Due to the planned maintenance of the 33 kV Chasmashahi-TRC Rajbagh line, electricity supply will remain affected in Rajbagh, Gogjibagh, Zero Bridge, and adjoining locations. Residents in these specific areas will experience a power outage from 9 AM to 3 PM on June 11, 2026.Similarly, power supply disruptions will occur along the 33 kV Awantipora line on June 06, 2026, from 9 AM to 2 PM.
This shutdown will temporarily affect electricity services in Awantipora, Jawbara, Barsoo, Malangpora, Padgampora, Beighpora, Midoora, Bohu, and surrounding villages. The corporation advised consumers in these sectors to plan their daily activities accordingly during the maintenance window.Additionally, a two-day power shutdown has been scheduled for the 33 kV Potushai-Gurez line on June 08 and June 09, 2026.
The power supply to Wanpora, Dawar, NHPC, Tragbal, Peerbaba, Kanzalwan, Bagtore, Koragbal, Razdantop, and neighbouring areas will remain suspended from 10 AM to 4 PM on both days. The distribution corporation has requested cooperation from the general public for any inconvenience caused by these necessary system upgrades.
