Javed Ahmed Rana Reviews Jal Shakti and Forest Departments in Samba, Orders Rapid Grievance Redressal
JAMMU June, 11 2026— Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, chaired a comprehensive department review meeting and hosted a public interaction initiative at Bari Brahmana in Samba to evaluate local development and infrastructure.
Prioritizing public welfare, the Minister directed officials to adopt a highly proactive and accountable approach, emphasizing that any delays in addressing community grievances or service delivery will not be tolerated. For the Jal Shakti Department, Rana ordered the immediate repair of dysfunctional pipelines and handpumps, demanding the swift completion of pending water schemes to ensure uninterrupted clean drinking water for both rural and remote habitations.
Concurrently, he instructed the Forest Department to accelerate the resolution of pending forest rights cases and streamline ecological conservation initiatives in close coordination with tribal and revenue authorities. Underscoring the Omar Abdullah-led Government’s dedication to inclusive development across Jammu and Kashmir, Rana finalized the session by reviewing critical infrastructure projects, warning officials that meeting project timelines with total transparency is strictly non-negotiable.
