RAMBAN, June 11, 2026 :- Traffic will remain suspended on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway, NH 44, during the night hours of June 12, June 14, and June 16, 2026.

The District Magistrate of Ramban granted permission to the National Highways Authority of India to carry out essential bituminous relaying works at several critical locations, including Nachlana.

To ensure public safety and smooth execution of the roadwork, no vehicular movement will be permitted between Nashri and the Navyug Tunnel from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM on the intervening nights of June 12-13, June 14-15, and June 16-17.

In response to the nightly closures, traffic authorities have set specific cutoff timings for vehicles heading toward the construction zone. Vehicles traveling from Udhampur toward Ramban, Banihal, and Srinagar will be stopped at 5:00 PM.

Meanwhile, traffic moving from Qazigund toward Banihal, Ramban, Udhampur, and Jammu will not be allowed past 8:00 PM. Operators handling load carriers with fresh perishables or live stock are advised to plan their loading schedules around these restrictions to prevent delays.

Travelers planning to use the highway on June 13, June 15, and June 17 are strongly advised to verify road status before starting their journeys.

The Traffic Control Units can be reached for updates at Jammu, Srinagar, Ramban, and Udhampur through their official helplines to help commuters avoid inconvenience during the maintenance period.
