Indian Navy Stealth Frigate INS Tarkash Arrives in Mauritius for Operational Deployment
PORT LOUIS, June 21, 2026 :- The Indian Navy’s frontline stealth frigate, INS Tarkash, arrived at Port Louis, Mauritius yesterday as part of her ongoing operational deployment in the Southwest Indian Ocean Region.
During the port call, the commanding officer is scheduled to interact with senior government and military officials to strengthen bilateral ties.
Additionally, the ship’s crew will engage with Mauritius Coast Guard personnel to share expertise and experiences on specialized maritime subjects, fostering greater professional cooperation.
The warship also proudly represented India in Mauritius today by hosting events to mark the International Day of Yoga. The deployment underscores the deep-rooted maritime cooperation and enduring friendship between the two nations, reinforcing a shared commitment to regional security and stability across the strategic waters of the Indian Ocean.
