Indian Army hosts welfare meet for veterans and Veer Naris in Ladakh
KARU, April 29, 2026:- The Indian Army organized a dedicated Ex-Servicemen and Veer Nari Meet today at Karu to honor the courage and sacrifice of the veteran community in the Ladakh region.
The gathering brought together 45 ex-servicemen and 12 Veer Naris from several local areas, including Karu, Igoo, Shakti, Shara, Hemis, and Changa.
The event served as a significant platform to foster a spirit of camaraderie and reinforce the long-standing commitment of the armed forces toward the welfare of those who have served the nation and the families of fallen heroes.
To provide practical assistance, the army established comprehensive welfare facilities at the venue, offering immediate support for a variety of needs.
Attendees had access to medical aid, psychological counseling, and dedicated counters for pension grievance redressal to ensure the real-time resolution of administrative issues.
Additionally, support for Canteen Stores Department services was provided to the participants. This initiative not only addressed essential health and financial concerns but also strengthened the enduring bond between the Indian Army and its veteran community, ensuring that their contributions continue to be recognized and supported.
