Four Illegal Shops Demolished During Anti Encroachment Drive in Jammu Bhalwal

JAMMU, June 10, 2026 — The district administration conducted a major anti-encroachment drive in the Bhalwal tehsil today to remove illegal structures built on government property.

Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Rakesh Minhas and under the supervision of SDM Jammu North Deepak Kumar, the enforcement team demolished four shops that had been illegally constructed on state land under Khasra Number 3456 in Bhalwal village.

The administrative action was initiated following multiple complaints regarding the unauthorized occupation of valuable state land situated at a prime location.The eviction operation was carried out smoothly in the presence of Tehsildar Bhalwal Monika Sharma and SHO Gharota Rajesh Verma, along with a team of revenue and police officials who ensured order on the ground.

Following the successful demolition, the district administration reiterated its firm commitment to safeguarding government land from illegal encroachments. Officials also warned that strict legal action will continue against all unauthorized occupations of state land across the region to prevent future violations.
