Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan files nomination for Rajya Sabha in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL, June 8, 2026:- Congress party nominee Meenakshi Natarajan officially filed her nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha election at the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly today. The event served as a major gathering for the state leadership, demonstrating a unified front as the opposition party aims to secure its presence in the upper house of parliament.A large delegation of senior leadership and party lawmakers accompanied the candidate to oversee the nomination process.

Key attendees included Madhya Pradesh Congress in-charge Harish Chaudhary, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, and former Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh Rahul Bhaiya. Other prominent figures present at the assembly included former Union Minister Arun Yadav, Congress Working Committee member Kamleshwar Patel, and former state minister Sajjan Singh Verma, alongside several party MLAs and senior leaders.

Following the submission, the party leadership expressed total unity and determination in backing the candidacy of Meenakshi Natarajan for the upcoming parliamentary election. Senior leaders stated that the Congress party remains firmly committed to sending her to the Rajya Sabha while continuing its political stand to protect democratic values in the region.
