Bengaluru Customs Arrests Dubai Passenger and Seizes Gold Paste Worth Over One Crore Rupees

BENGALURU, June 10, 2026:- Bengaluru Customs officials successfully intercepted a smuggling attempt at the Bengaluru International Airport, apprehending a passenger arriving from Dubai.

During the operation, security personnel recovered 899.50 grams of 24-karat gold, which carries an estimated market value of ₹1.37 crore.The contraband was carefully concealed inside four separate capsules containing gold paste to evade detection.

Following the recovery, the passenger was formally arrested by customs authorities under the provisions of the Customs Act, and further investigation into the smuggling network is currently underway.
