Assam Rifles Sponsors Education for Displaced Manipur Students in Dehradun

IMPHAL, June 23, 2026 — Assam Rifles has launched a comprehensive educational sponsorship program for five internally displaced students from Churachandpur and Tengnoupal districts, allowing them to continue their studies at ITITI-Doon Sanskriti School in Dehradun.

The initiative covers all essential costs, including tuition fees, boarding, lodging, uniforms, books, stationery, and travel expenses, to guarantee uninterrupted education and a more secure future for the students.

To encourage the selected students, an interactive session was organized at Lok Bhavan in Imphal, where the scholars and their guardians met with the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, along with Major General Gaurav Sharma, IGAR (South), and other senior military officials.

The initiative highlights the commitment of Assam Rifles to empowering regional youth through education while promoting national integration and community resilience.
