Assam Rifles and Dao Division organize medical camps in Assam and Manipur
GUWAHATI, June 7, 2026 — The Dao Division and Assam Rifles formations under the Spear Corps conducted a series of health, wellness, and humanitarian outreach initiatives across Assam and Manipur to support local communities.
In Dinjan, Assam, security forces organized an occupational health awareness program that benefited more than 150 tea estate workers. The initiative focused on educating the workers about health safety and wellness practices tailored to their daily working conditions.
Simultaneously, a comprehensive medical camp was established in Songpi Village, Manipur, where healthcare teams provided medical checkups and assistance to nearly 300 villagers.
In another critical humanitarian effort in Manipur, the medical team of the Assam Rifles successfully administered life-saving emergency medical aid to a snakebite victim in the Noney area.
These combined operations highlight the ongoing commitment of the security forces to providing essential healthcare and emergency support to remote regions in the Northeast.
