Andaman and Nicobar Islands DGP Ravindra Yadav reviews Police Marine Force operational readiness
PORT BLAIR, June 13, 2026 :- Director General of Police for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Ravindra Yadav, visited the Police Marine Force Headquarters to review the operational preparedness of key marine assets. During the strategic inspection, he assessed the readiness, maintenance schedules, and actual deployment capabilities of several vital vessels, including MV White Water, FIB Zulfikar Ali, FRP Vayu, and FRP Akash.
These assets form the backbone of maritime policing, coastal surveillance, and emergency response operations across the archipelago.The DGP emphasized the critical role played by the Police Marine Force in strengthening regional maritime security and keeping the coastal waters safe.
He directed the commanding officers and staff to ensure that the highest standards of fleet maintenance, tactical training, and operational efficiency are maintained at all times. He noted that regular monitoring of these assets is crucial for preventing maritime threats and managing disaster responses effectively.
While interacting directly with the deployed personnel, Yadav highlighted the absolute importance of constant vigilance, professionalism, and swift response capabilities in safeguarding the vast maritime boundaries of the Union Territory.
