Indian Army launches mobile medical unit for ECHS beneficiaries in Jabalpur
JABALPUR, July 9 — Sanjay Gautam, the Chief of Staff of Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area, flagged off the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Medical Mobile Unit at the Station Cell in Jabalpur.
Following successful trial runs conducted in Seoni and Chhindwara, the mobile unit officially commenced its field operations with its inaugural deployment to Narsinghpur.Designed to function as a clinic on wheels, the specialized mobile vehicle will provide primary healthcare services, essential medicines, and scheduled outreach services directly to remote areas.
The initiative is set to benefit over 40,000 scheme beneficiaries spread across 10 remote districts of Madhya Pradesh, ensuring that medical facilities are accessible to those living far from static military hospitals.The mobile clinic is permanently staffed by a qualified doctor and a nursing assistant to ensure professional and timely medical support for veterans and their dependants.
This welfare initiative reinforces the enduring commitment of the Indian Army toward accessible healthcare and the overall well-being of ex-servicemen who have served the nation.
