Indian Army deploys rescue teams after Moshi building collapse in Pimpri Chinchwad

PUNE, July 9 — The Indian Army Southern Command deployed specialized rescue, engineer, and medical teams to the Waste-to-Energy project site in Moshi, Pimpri Chinchwad, following a major building collapse.

The military mobilization was initiated promptly in response to an urgent requisition from the local state administration requesting immediate disaster relief assistance.Operating under challenging on-site conditions, the army units are working in close coordination with the National Disaster Response Force, civil fire services, police, and regional administration.

The combined teams are actively supporting ongoing search and rescue efforts, executing extensive debris clearance, and providing critical medical aid to victims directly at the disaster site.

Emergency operations at the industrial project location are continuing as rescue personnel systematically search through the structural ruins. Local authorities and military teams remain on high alert at the scene to ensure all trapped individuals are safely extricated and treated.
