Delhi Traffic Police issues travel advisory for NH 24 waterlogging near Ghazipur

NEW DELHI, July 9 — Heavy rainfall since yesterday has caused severe waterlogging on National Highway 24 near Ghazipur, significantly disrupting the movement of vehicles entering the national capital.

Teams from the Delhi Traffic Police and the National Highways Authority of India are currently deployed at the site, working collaboratively to clear the accumulated water and restore normal traffic operations.In light of the ongoing disruptions, traffic authorities have issued a specific travel advisory for commuters traveling from Ghaziabad toward Delhi.

Motorists are advised to bypass the waterlogged stretch by diverting through Sector 62 in Ghaziabad, proceeding toward Vasundhara in Uttar Pradesh, and continuing to Budh Chowk. From there, drivers should head toward Mohan Nagar and ultimately enter Delhi via the Seemapuri border.

The traffic department has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the weather-related delays. Commuters are requested to plan their journeys in advance, follow the designated alternate routes, and cooperate with traffic personnel stationed along the diversion points to ensure a smoother flow of vehicles.
