Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa reviews revenue schemes and land acquisition in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, June 18, 2026 :- Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa convened a meeting of revenue officers to review the ongoing progress of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme, the SVAMITVA scheme, the Public Services Guarantee Act, land acquisition matters, and pending court cases within the district.

The comprehensive discussions covered the status of digitization and the freezing of Jamabandis, grievance redressal mechanisms, the updating of backlog mutations, the recreation of Mussavies, and the utilization of funds under the FCR Capex and UT Capex Budget for 2026-27.

Additionally, the participants evaluated the issuance of Fards, the status of legal disputes, and the implementation of quality checks on updated land records.The Deputy Commissioner directed all revenue officers to expedite the updating of Jamabandis on a mission mode and conducted a detailed, tehsil-wise review of backlog mutations while emphasizing the need for absolute accuracy and quality in land records digitization.

He instructed the concerned officers to ensure that public services are delivered strictly within the timelines prescribed under the Public Services Guarantee Act. Furthermore, he directed Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars to ensure the early disposal of all pending court cases and outstanding revenue matters.

The review meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Umesh Shan, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, and all regional Tehsildars.
