Indian Army Agniveer training transforms future soldiers at Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre

LANSDOWNE, June 9, 2026 — The next generation of soldiers is being shaped through grit, endurance, and technology-enabled training at the Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre in Lansdowne. As part of the ongoing Agniveer training program, the regiment recently conducted an intensive advance camp designed to strengthen combat conditioning, field discipline, and operational orientation within challenging terrain.

The training culminated with a gruelling 30-kilometer night route march that tested the physical endurance, mental resilience, and team spirit of the recruits. In addition to rigorous physical conditioning, the Agniveers underwent intensive training on modern technology, including drones and new-generation equipment, alongside traditional field craft and battle craft.

This comprehensive approach reinforces their preparedness for future battlefield challenges and reflects the continued focus of the Indian Army on transforming motivated youth into confident, capable, and combat-ready soldiers.
