BSF and Border Guard Bangladesh Begin 57th Director General Level Border Coordination Conference

NEW DELHI, June 9, 2026 — The 57th Director General level Border Coordination Conference between the Border Security Force and Border Guard Bangladesh officially commenced in the national capital today.

Border Security Force Director General Praveen Kumar received and welcomed Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh, along with his high-level delegation upon their arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.

The bilateral institutional conference, scheduled to run from June 8 to June 11, 2026, serves as a crucial platform for both neighboring nations. Senior commanders and delegates from both sides are scheduled to discuss and deliberate upon a wide range of critical border-related issues.

The primary objective of the multi-day summit is to resolve operational challenges, mitigate trans-border friction, and establish significantly better coordination and mutual cooperation between the two frontline border guarding forces.
