Manoj Sinha vows to eliminate narco terrorism as drug free campaign reaches Kishtwar
JAMMU, JUNE 6: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led a massive padyatra in Kishtwar today as the Drug-Free Jammu and Kashmir campaign expanded to its 19th district, underscoring the administration’s resolve to permanently dismantle narco-terrorism networks.
Addressing a large public rally, the Lieutenant Governor stated that enforcement agencies are actively breaking the chain of the illegal drug trade at every single link, ensuring there is no safe haven for cross-border smugglers, local peddlers, or terror financiers.
He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government will show zero mercy to those profit from ruining the younger generation, while full compassion, dignity, and recovery support will be guaranteed for individuals looking to break free from addiction and return to the mainstream.
Reflecting on the progress of the initiative, which has mobilized citizens across the Union Territory for the past 56 days, the Lieutenant Governor described the fight against drug abuse as a long-term war requiring a sustained, round-the-clock commitment from the entire society.
He highlighted the courage of young men and women reclaiming their lives from substance abuse and explained that the administration is working to embed early intervention mechanisms directly into local neighborhoods.
Calling upon teachers, panchayat mahila samitis, religious leaders, and civil society groups to act as the primary torchbearers of the movement, Sinha asserted that the collective voice of the public has made it clear that narco-terrorists will be completely driven out to safeguard the future of the children of Jammu and Kashmir.
