ECHS Polyclinic Udhampur hosts joint awareness program for Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir campaign
UDHAMPUR, MAY 4: A collaborative awareness session focused on the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan was successfully conducted at the ECHS Polyclinic Udhampur today.
Organized by the Veterans Cell and ECHS Polyclinic in partnership with Brahmakumaris and the Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League, the event sought to promote mental well-being and a drug-free lifestyle among ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and their families.
During the program, OC ECHS Polyclinic Protam Singh and Veterans Cell representative CDS Aswal addressed the participants, highlighting the critical role veterans play as societal role models in the fight against substance abuse.
The session featured spiritual insights and practical meditation demonstrations led by Dr. Anil Bathija alongside BK Yashpal and BK Madhvi, who emphasized the importance of mental discipline in overcoming addiction.
Representing the Indian Ex-Services League, Dalbir Singh Bhatyal provided a detailed overview of the campaign launched under the guidance of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
He noted that this event marks the third in a series of initiatives led by the Udhampur unit under the leadership of RK Sharma and Goverdhan Singh Jamwal. To further support the mental health of the veteran community, a formal request was made during the event to establish a dedicated meditation center within the ECHS Polyclinic complex.
The program concluded with a collective pledge by the attendees to work toward a healthy and progressive society.
