Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Chairs High Level Meeting as Srinagar Civil Secretariat Reopens

SRINAGAR, May 4 — On the first day of the Civil Secretariat’s reopening in the summer capital, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired a comprehensive meeting with administrative secretaries to outline the government’s operational priorities.

The session was attended by the Deputy Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, and the Advisor to the Chief Minister, marking a formal start to the administrative term in Srinagar.

During the deliberations, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of transitioning from planning to action, urging officials to ensure that government directions are effectively implemented on the ground to benefit the public.

A significant portion of the meeting focused on enhancing inter-departmental coordination to prevent delays in essential public works.

The Chief Minister directed all administrative heads to prioritize the timely execution of developmental projects, emphasizing that administrative efficiency is key to meeting the expectations of the citizens.

He noted that seamless communication between various wings of the government is necessary to overcome bureaucratic hurdles and accelerate the pace of urban and rural development across the region.

In addition to policy implementation, the Chief Minister addressed the logistical needs of the workforce following the seasonal relocation.

He specifically instructed the Estates Department to ensure proper arrangements are in place, including the provision of adequate residential facilities for employees and the maintenance of a smooth working environment within the offices.

By focusing on both infrastructure readiness and administrative accountability, the government aims to ensure a productive summer session in the capital.
