Fatal Collapse of Under Construction Cold Storage in Pulwama Leaves One Dead and Four Injured
PULWAMA, April 16, 2026:- A tragic accident occurred in the Lassipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district today when the truss of an under-construction cold storage unit collapsed due to powerful winds.
According officials, the structural failure was triggered by a sudden onset of strong gusts, resulting in injuries to five individuals working at the site.
Emergency responders quickly evacuated all the victims to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.Tragically, one of the victims, identified as Sajad Ahmad Mir of Ruhama, Rafiabad, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
The four other injured men, identified as Jaspreet Singh from Amritsar, Aijaz Kumar and Hilal Ahmad Rather from Budgam, and Naseer Ahmad Mir from Baramulla, remain under medical care.
