Additional Deputy Commissioner Reviews HPV Vaccination Campaign Progress in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, April 16, 2026:- Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh chaired a strategic meeting with officials from various stakeholder departments to evaluate the current status of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination drive in Udhampur district.
During the session, the official reviewed implementation data and emphasized the critical need to meet established immunization targets within the designated timeframe.
He directed the Health Department to maintain seamless coordination across all administrative levels to ensure the vaccine reaches every eligible beneficiary, particularly in the more remote areas of the district.
To boost the success of the campaign, the Additional Deputy Commissioner instructed the Health and School Education Departments to significantly ramp up awareness activities among the target demographic.
He highlighted that students should be encouraged to act as messengers, informing and motivating their parents about the health benefits and long-term significance of the HPV vaccine.
By fostering a collaborative environment between schools and healthcare providers, the administration aims to maximize participation and ensure high public acceptance of the vaccination program to safeguard the health of the younger generation.
