JAMMU, AUGUST 26, 2025: In a decisive move prompted by prevailing adverse weather conditions, the administration of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a complete shutdown of all educational institutions and non-essential offices across the Jammu division for tomorrow, August 27, 2025.
The order, issued by the Office of the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, mandates the closure of all schools, colleges, universities, coaching centers, and training institutes to ensure public safety. Furthermore, all government and private offices have been instructed to remain closed, with an exemption only for departments and services classified as essential, which include health services, emergency response teams, utility services, and law & order personnel.
