Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Hosts Nasha Mukt Abhiyan Awareness Event in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, JUNE 4 — Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy organized an awareness programme within its premises today in support of the ongoing 100-Day Intensified Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan. Held under the leadership of In-charge Director Shiv Kumar, the event was organized to reaffirm the academy’s commitment to building a drug-free society and promoting awareness about the devastating effects of substance abuse.
The programme focused on educating participants, particularly the youth, about the harmful consequences of drug addiction while encouraging them to adopt healthy, responsible, and productive lifestyles.
The event was attended by several senior officials and trainees, including Deputy Director Indoor Training Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Director Outdoor Benam Tosh, Ranjeev Sharma, Rakesh Sambyal, Assistant Director Administration Anroop Sharma, Assistant Director Training Shanker Bahadur, Private Secretary to Director Sunil Kumar Sawhney, Assistant Director Outdoor Pawan Kumar, Rajesh Khajuria, Chander Lekha, Amit Prakash Sehgal, probationary officers, and course trainees.
Addressing the gathering, Shiv Kumar emphasized that drug addiction destroys individual health and futures while severely impacting families and the broader community. He urged all participants to remain vigilant, support ongoing rehabilitation initiatives, and actively contribute to spreading awareness before concluding the programme with a collective pledge to say no to drugs and yes to life.
