Mukesh Singh takes charge as Manipur Director General of Police

IMPHAL, June 1 — Mukesh Singh assumed charge as the Director General of Police for Manipur today. Upon his arrival at the Police Headquarters in Mantripukhri, he was accorded a traditional Guard of Honour by the Manipur Police.

Following the ceremonial reception, the new police chief held a brief introductory meeting with senior police officers to outline his vision for the state force.During the meeting, the Director General of Police discussed key policing priorities and emphasized the importance of professionalism among the ranks.

He highlighted the need to uphold the Constitution of India and the rule of law, while stressing close coordination with sister security agencies.

He also underscored the necessity of maintaining strict impartiality and neutrality when discharging duties to the public. Senior officers of the Manipur Police were present throughout the occasion to welcome the new chief.
