CHENNAI, May 05 — Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam President MK Stalin issued a formal statement today expressing his sincere gratitude to the people of Tamil Nadu who voted for the Secular Progressive Alliance in the recently concluded assembly elections.

According to the latest data, the alliance secured a total of 1,54,82,782 votes. Stalin remarked that he views every single vote as a priceless token of trust, emphasizing that the voting percentage difference between the DMK alliance and the winning party was a narrow 3.52 percent, reflecting a strong base of public support.

In his address to party members, MK Stalin instructed all successful DMK candidates to immediately visit their respective constituencies to personally thank the electorate. He reminded them that in a democracy, the people are the ultimate authority and that the party exists solely to serve their interests.

He highlighted the DMK’s long history, noting that the movement has served six terms in power and has remained resilient through both victories and defeats without compromising its core ideologies of protecting the state’s language and identity.

Responding to the numerous messages of solidarity from supporters, Stalin assured party workers that their hard work resulted in the significant mandate of over 1.5 crore votes. He affirmed that while the party may not be in power, it will function as a formidable opposition dedicated to fighting for the rights and demands of the people.

Pledging to continue the journey following the path of Periyar, Anna, and Karunanidhi, he vowed to strengthen the Dravidian movement and lead the party toward future success.
