Madhya UP Sub Area launches E-Swikriti application to fast-track ECHS medical approvals
LUCKNOW, June 10, 2026 — Major General Maneesh Kukrety, General Officer Commanding of Madhya UP Sub Area, launched the E-Swikriti digital application to streamline the approval process of unlisted medical procedures for Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme beneficiaries.
This new initiative marks a significant transition toward faster, transparent, and patient-centric healthcare management for military veterans and their families. The digital application is specifically engineered to cut down approval timelines for patients admitted to empanelled hospitals, reducing the waiting period from three to four days down to just three to four hours.
This drastic reduction in administrative processing aims to eliminate treatment delays and alleviate the logistical hardships previously faced by veterans and their dependents during critical medical emergencies.By integrating Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme officials, empanelled private hospitals, Senior Executive Medical Officers, and medical specialists onto a single digital interface, the platform enables real-time coordination and quicker decision-making.
Furthermore, the system allows direct communication between specialists at service hospitals and attending doctors at private empanelled facilities, ensuring better medical oversight and continuity of care.
The implementation of this digital platform is expected to drive higher accountability across the healthcare network, pinpoint systemic delays, and optimize financial fund utilization. Ultimately, the rollout of the system represents a major upgrade in the efficiency and delivery of medical benefits to the veteran community.
