CISF begins orientation training programme for airport sector officers in New Delhi

NEW DELHI, June 8, 2026 :- The CISF Airport Sector Headquarters in Mahipalpur, New Delhi, commenced a five-day orientation training programme in virtual mode for gazetted officers inducted into the airport sector from non-airport units during 2026.

The initiative aims to enhance the understanding of the aviation security ecosystem among officers, while strengthening professional competence in airport security operations for effective leadership, decision-making, and management.

The specialized programme was inaugurated by Binita Thakur, IPS, ADG/APS, in the presence of Senthil Avoodai Krishna Raj S, IPS, IG APS-I. The training is structured to equip the newly inducted leadership with the critical skills required to manage complex airport security environments and ensure secure skies across the nation.
