Chief Minister Omar Abdullah flags off free breast cancer screening initiative in Srinagar
SRINAGAR, June 15, 2026Chief Minister Omar Abdullah flagged off the Free Breast Cancer Screening Seva at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar today.
Supported under the corporate social responsibility programme of the Airports Authority of India and implemented by India Turns Pink, the initiative is designed to provide free breast cancer screening and awareness services to women living in remote areas of Kashmir.
The program aims to promote early detection and ensure timely treatment for patients.During the launch, the Chief Minister praised the endeavor and emphasized the critical importance of preventive healthcare, women’s health awareness, and active community outreach.
Health Minister Sakina Itoo and Advisor Nasir Sogami were also present at the event to support the launch of the healthcare campaign.
