Central Industrial Security Force intercepts international passenger with hashish seizure at Delhi Airport

NEW DELHI, June 11, 2026 :- The Central Industrial Security Force personnel at Delhi Airport intercepted an international passenger bound for Amman based on profiling inputs, leading to a major narcotics detection.

During a thorough screening of the passenger’s baggage, security officials recovered 20 packets of suspected hashish, also known as charas, weighing approximately 4.411 kilograms. The contraband was found intentionally concealed within newly purchased clothing items inside the luggage.

Following the discovery, the passenger was detained and handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau along with the seized drugs for further legal proceedings.

This successful interception highlights the ongoing vigilance, profiling effectiveness, and operational efficiency maintained by security personnel at the aviation security interface to prevent illicit trafficking attempts.
